By The Wine is a relaxed and cosmopolitan space, with a carefully selected gastronomic offer that leaves no one indifferent.

We opened our space in the heart of Chiado in 2015, and in November 2024, we inaugurated the new space in Baixa do Porto.

Since March 2021, By the Wine exclusively presents the entire range of wines from SOGRAPE, the largest wine producer in Portugal, including iconic brands such as Mateus Rosé, Casa Ferreirinha (Douro), Herdade do Peso (Alentejo), Quinta dos Carvalhais (Dão), Quinta da Romeira (Lisboa), as well as the famous Port wines from Sandeman and Ferreira. You can also taste wines from SOGRAPE's properties spread around the world – New Zealand, Argentina, Chile, and Spain.

In total, there are around eighty wine references paired with a diverse range of tapas and gastronomic options, including homemade Algarvian bread, Iberian bellota ham platters, salmon ceviche, loin steak sandwich, beef carpaccio, or veal cheek.

Every day, whether at lunch, dinner, or late afternoon, between an appetizer and a glass of wine, we bring together the best of both worlds. Everything here is genuine, from the service to the ingredients in each dish, each glass, each platter.
